SATC Character Inspired OOTD
Because I had so much fun with my last post Disney character inspired ootd, so I have to do another one.
This time is with the Sex and the City Characters, since the SATC reboot “and just like that” just started to stream.
Recreating some of the characters looks was a bit hard coz I don’t have that much New York corporate-looking clothes. But thankfully, I have the key pieces to play with, just to depict each character.
So I make do of what I have. Enjoy :)
photos: grabbed on the web for reference……
Carrie Bradshaw
A columnist in New York. Who had a great taste in fashion and loves shoes. Her character made the tulle skirt or the tutu skirt street fashion, wearable-y casual. I love styles that breaks the rule, it just make whats IT. (you know what I mean)
I think among all the characters Im more Carrie coz she’s a boho chic but not afraid to try all kinds of style and remain to be very her. And a little bit of Charlotte too. Well I’d like to say my style is boho, I’m always drawn to floral maxi skirts, dresses, vest, in soft and flowy etc. whatever makes it. Needless to say my style Icon is Nicole Richie and the Olsen twins beside Audrey Hepburn to my bit of Charlotte.
jacket/wind-breaker: H&M
Silk Scarf: H&M —please see my post about styling a scarf…
Charlotte York
She’s always prim and proper. She likes dainty, very girly looks.
Sling back heels: NINEWEST
Miranda Hobbes
Mostly in her power-suits. Well its kind of come with the territory, which is being a lawyer and all. But she can carry those suits so well. Empowered women looks (I can say)
I only have these vests to play with, the closest to a suit-looking (I think).
I’m thinking of getting myself one in khaki or an ashy-grey, and slightly oversize
(TING!! added to my wishlist..hehe)
Here, I just change the vest to this long and straight-cut one, for another vibe.
Samantha Jones
Owns her PR company, Shes the 30, flirty and thriving as that movie goes. I always see her in shoulder padded tops and blazers and some thick belts to add. Well I only have one padded blazer to play with so I mixed and matches.
I find Samantha’s dressing the difficult one because her style is not exactly my cup of tea. But I made it work (hopefully)
Actually I have one padded suit but its not the boyfriend suit vibe that I wanted; straight cut and oversize. (to justify why I need a new one..yeah)
Blazer: BERSHKA
Gladly I found this pencil skirt from H&M…I don’t really know why I got them, its not exactly my style but it came in handy..
