How to have a sustainable wardrobe ft. my cousin Maybell

What are some pointers to have a sustainable wardrobe?

First, purging your closet once in awhile will definitely help you ….. get rid of the clothes you have never worn for years and stop telling yourself (you might wear it someday) coz honestly you’ll never will. With the exemption of rare occasion-clothing, like for weddings and such. One must have that “keeps” for any events which I would like to discuss more on some future blog.😉

Here I’m helping out my cousin, Maybell updating her closet essentials

She’s a working mom/wife so there’s a lot on her plate. Her priorities have changed and her wardrobe just need a little tweaking and revamping. In fact she’s a good dresser, She had already got most of the basics down.

As she’s an avid reader of my blogs😘, she said that one time I posted something about, you can’t have too many white shirts, and she got herself a lot of new different styles of white shirts and to no regrets its the most versatile clothing in her closet. Made her dressing up easy; as to where she lived, its a simple-living provincial town. So she needed that “no fuss” but still very classy pieces that fits her lifestyle.

Making White shirts as the second point for essential. White shirts in different forms are truly a classic and a must-have. I have talked about it over and over again in my blogs and I cant hyped it enough. (closet-time capsule) (closet-essential)

Neutrals are always a good and safe choice, besides the whites, other earth tones are also very easy to pair with. Its not everyone that can pull-off a print over print, heavy material, colorful clothing.

To what I’ve said in my past post getting the basics will surely make your wardrobe last for many years. Choose pieces that are classic which means plain and tonal, just then you can experiment with colors. With these I can assure that your closet will never go out of style.

I am not going to go through with this on one point to another. I will just run you guys through of what I choose for her.

These are the 4 things we got that day.

Few clips of our shopping journey..ÜÜÜ

We opted for a budget of ₱3000 but we went in Mango so we totally blew it.😂 But she needed a dress coz she’s attending a wedding, so its necessary! Plus it fits her perfectly, honestly it fits us both nicely. It was worth the bit of splurge.🤗

Here are Five ensembles that she can be able to wear accords to her lifestyle. Which she can also mix and match to have more different looks.

First up, very casual, very comfy everyday fit. This is on my top 5 list of things we have to get. White button-down shirt we got it from H&M.

This time a no-brainer pair: white button-down shirt and jeans. Honestly anyone, in all ages would look-good in this ensemble.

This Plain-Jane fit is perfect on its own but for that extra put on some (noticeable) accessories to make it not so plain

Dressing-up for the occasion….

As she is attending a simple garden themed wedding. We both loved this dress from Mango, the cut was absolutely perfect on her, it accentuate her good curves. Honestly the pictures doesn’t do any justice on how beautiful the dress in person.

With the right accessories you can dress it up or keep it casual.

Dress: Mango

Our last but not the least…..

Plain Black shirts are also equally as versatile as the whites.

Pleated skirts is a perfect add on in your closet as it is very classic and it had been in style for ages.

so I truly enjoyed this, so please who else needs a little dressing…let me know♥️

TWINNING: showing-off our unusual-pair of earrings…😉
